A Liouville-type theorem for Schrödinger operators
In this paper we prove a sufficient condition, in terms of the behavior of a ground state of a symmetric critical operator P1, such that a nonzero subsolution of a symmetric nonnegative operator P0 is a ground state. Particularly, if Pj := −∆ + Vj , for j = 0, 1, are two nonnegative Schrödinger operators defined on Ω ⊆ R such that P1 is critical in Ω with a ground state φ, the function ψ 0 is a...

متن کاملTrace Formulas and a Borg-type Theorem for Cmv Operators with Matrix-valued Coefficients
We prove a general Borg-type inverse spectral result for a reflectionless unitary CMV operator (CMV for Cantero, Moral, and Velázquez [13]) associated with matrix-valued Verblunsky coefficients. More precisely, we find an explicit formula for the Verblunsky coefficients of a reflectionless CMV matrix whose spectrum consists of a connected arc on the unit circle. This extends a recent result [39...
متن کاملCommon fixed point theorem for nonexpansive type single valued mappings
The aim of this paper is to prove a common fixed point theorem for nonexpansive type single valued mappings which include both continuous and discontinuous mappings by relaxing the condition of continuity by weak reciprocally continuous mapping. Our result is generalize and extends the corresponding result of Jhade et al. [P.K. Jhade, A.S. Saluja and R. Kushwah, Coincidence and fixed points of ...
متن کاملHypoellipticity for Linear Degenerate Elliptic Systems in Carnot Groups and Applications
We prove that if u is a weak solution to a constant coefficient system (with strong ellipticity assumed along the horizontal direction) in a Carnot group (no restriction on the step), then u is actually smooth. We then use this result to develop blow-up analysis to prove a partial regularity result for weak solutions of certain non-linear systems.
